ஜனாதிபதித் தேர்தலில் போட்டியிடும் அனைத்து வேட்பாளர்களின் கவனத்துக்குமாகப் பதினைந்து அம்சங்கள் அடங்கிய கோரிக்கைப் பட்டியல் ஒன்றைத் தமிழர் விடுதலைக் கூட்டணியின் தலைவர் வீ. ஆனந்தசங்கரி முன்வைத்திருக்கின்றார்.

* வடக்கு கிழக்கு இணைப்புப் பற்றிய விடயத்தை அந்த மக்களிடமே விட்டுவிடுவது.
* இடம்பெயர்ந்தோரின் மீள் குடியேற்றத்தை இனியும் தாமதமின்றி முன்னெடுப்பது.
*போரழிவுகளுக்கு உரிய நஷ்டஈடு வழங்கல்.
* அழிவுகள், உயிரிழப்புகள் குறித்து உண்மை விவரங்களைத் திரட்டுதல்.
* தமிழ்க் கைதிகளை விடுவித்தல்.
*பயங்கரவாதத் தடைச் சட்டத்தை நீக்குதல்.
போன்றவை உட்படப் பல விடயங்களை ஆனந்தசங்கரி இந்தக் கோரிக்கைக் கடிதத்தில் வலியுறுத்தியுள்ளார்.

Anandasangaree’s a few-days old letter to all our presidential candidates, of course in fact it is indirectly intended to be directly addressed to the main two candidates President Rajapakse and the General, has been unfortunately penned at a time when the content of the letter concerns the duo the least, as both have better things to do, and it is this total indifference at the Sinhala dominated centre to the real-time issues of the Tamil ethnic minority in the northern and eastern areas has been the root-cause of the, now crushed, Tamil rebellion cum terrorism. The Lanka Sama Samaja Party - the oldest political party in Sri Lanka celebrates its 74th Anniversary on December 18. The LSSP has a long history in Sri Lanka. It was set up in 1935 as a progressive movement, fighting against Imperialism and to work for the common man.
One of its founders and leader Dr. N. M. Perera was a student of Prof. Harold J. Laski of the London School of Economics. Dr. N. M. Perera studied in England, Germany and France under prominent professors such as Prof. Graham, Prof. Parsley, Prof. Hob House and Prof Paroe. (more…)
