Anandasangaree’s Interview with the “Weekend Standard’

In an Interview with the “Weekend Standard’ Sangaree who came down hard
on the CFA said , thanks to the Ceasefire agreement the LTTE had taken
control of the north and the east and one cannot move freely even in
Colombo. Sangaree said “I am saying it is the sacred duty of both the
government and the opposition to jointly take up this issue with the
international community.
A mistake had been made. Now tell the international community we did it
in good faith, allowed the LTTE to come in with the assurance that they
will not do any killings and abductions and such things. The
international community will accept this. I predict that the CFA is
going to be the cause of the ruination of this country”

No inflammatory speeches had been made to promote dissension among various communities,” the letter said. (more…)
