Tamil United Liberation Front president V. Anandasangaree has appealed, in a media release, to TNA Parliamentarians to refrain from misleading the innocent Tamil-speaking people who easily get swayed by sentiments.
He stated that the people had taken a common stand at the Presidential poll held on January 26, not because of TNA policies and statements appearing in the media, but due to their own feelings towards the government.
“The TNA had taken our innocent people for a ride more than once. What they have now achieved is, driving the Sinhala masses to one-side, as a result of the fear they created in the minds of the Sinhala people. The fear is that the boasting of the TNA had created a certain amount of suspicion in the minds of the ordinary Sinhalese that Tamil Eelam will be created,” he said. (more…)

- தலைவர் ஆனந்த சங்கரி
எதிர்வரும் ஜனாதிபதித் தேர்தல் தொடர்பில் தமிழர் விடுதலைக் கூட்டணியின் 15 அமிச கோரிக்கையினை முன்வைத்துள்ளது. அது தொடர்பாக அக் கூட்டணியின் தலைவர் ஆனந்த சங்கரி வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிக்கை வருமாறு,
தமிழர் விடுதலைக் கூட்டணி தற்போதைய அரசியல் நிலைமையை மிக்க அவதானத்துடன் பரிசீலித்து ஜனாதிபதி அவர்களுக்கும், ஜனாதிபதி தேர்தலில் போட்டியிடும் ஏனைய வேட்பாளர்களுக்கும் இவர்களில் யார் வெற்றி பெற்றாலும் அதனை அமுல்படுத்துமாறு 15 அம்ச கோரிக்கையை முன்வைக்கிறது.
தமிழர் விடுதலைக் கூட்டணி முன்வைக்கும் கோரிக்கைகள் புதியவையல்ல. அவை சிறுபான்மை மக்களின் உரிமைகள் பற்றி மட்டுமல்லாமல் நாட்டின் பல்லின மக்களின் பிரச்சினைகளை தழுவுவதோடு சகல மக்களும் சகல உரிமைகளையும் அனுபவித்து அனைவரும் சமமாக வாழக்கூடிய ஓர் நல்ல அரசை நிறுவுவதுமாகும். (more…)

Anandasangaree’s a few-days old letter to all our presidential candidates, of course in fact it is indirectly intended to be directly addressed to the main two candidates President Rajapakse and the General, has been unfortunately penned at a time when the content of the letter concerns the duo the least, as both have better things to do, and it is this total indifference at the Sinhala dominated centre to the real-time issues of the Tamil ethnic minority in the northern and eastern areas has been the root-cause of the, now crushed, Tamil rebellion cum terrorism. சிறுபான்மையின மக்கள் அரை நூற்றாண்டுக்கு மேலாக அனுபவித்துவரும் கஷ்டங்களுக்கு இதுவரை தற்காலிக நிவாரணமோ, நிரந்தரத் தீர்வோ கிட்டாமல் காலத்துக்குக் காலம் நற் சிந்தனையுள்ள தலைவர்கள் நியாயபூர்வமாக மேற்கொள்ளும் முயற்சிகள் தொடர்ந்து சில கடும் போக்காளர்களினால் முட்டுக்கட்டை போட்டு வந்தமைiயை கவனத்திற்கொண்டு தமிழர் விடுதலைக் கூட்டணி அதன் அடிப்படை கொள்கையில் பாதிப்பு ஏற்படுவதை உணர்ந்தும் முன்னெச்சரிக்கையாக விவேகமான முடிவை எடுக்க வேண்டிய நிர்ப்பந்தத்துக்கு தள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் அண்மையில் யுத்தம் உட்பட நடந்தேறிய சம்பவங்கள் சிறுபான்மையினரின் மனிதாபிமான பிரச்சினைகளை மேலும் அதிகரித்துள்ளமையால் அவற்றை தீர்த்து வைக்க வேண்டிய பொறுப்பு ஒரே விதமான சிந்தனை கொண்ட கட்சிகளினதும், மக்களினதும் பொறுப்பு என தமிழர் விடுதலைக் கூட்டணி உணர்கின்றது. “ஒற்றையாட்சியின் கீழ் நிரந்தர தீர்வை அடைய முடியாது. எனவே இனப்பிரச்சினையின் நிரந்தர தீர்வுக்கு இந்திய அரசியல் சாசனத்தை ஒத்த தீர்வே பொருத்தமானதாகும்”. - ஆனந்தசங்கரி
“ஒற்றையாட்சியின் கீழ் நிரந்தர தீர்வை அடைய முடியாது” என தமிழர் விடுதலை கூட்டணித் தலைவர் வீ.ஆனந்தசங்கரி தெரிவித்துள்ளார். நாட்டில் சமாதானத்தை ஏற்படுத்த வேண்டும் எனக் கருதி பொது நிலைப்பாடு ஒன்றை வலியுறுத்தும் முகமாக தமிழர் விடுதலை கூட்டணி சில தீர்மானங்களை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
கூட்டணியின் தலைவர் வீ ஆனந்தசங்கரியின் கையொப்பத்துடன் கூடிய மேற்படித் தீர்மான அறிக்கையிலேயே அவர் தனது கருத்தை இவ்வாறு தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இது தொடர்பில் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ள அறிக்கையில், “ஒற்றையாட்சியின் கீழ் நிரந்தர தீர்வை அடைய முடியாது. எனவே இனப்பிரச்சினையின் நிரந்தர தீர்வுக்கு இந்திய அரசியல் சாசனத்தை ஒத்த தீர்வே பொருத்தமானதாகும்.

(June 08, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Democratic Tamil National Alliance considers the TNA, as the first and the worst enemy of the Tamil People. They should take full responsibility, among many other matters, for the loss of several thousands of lives and for causing injuries for many more. One in ten in the IDP camps has some deformity. Many have become widows, widowers and orphans. The kith and kin of some are either dead or still missing. Almost all have lost all their belongings such as house-hold goods, Lories, Vans, Tractors, Trailers, Three-Wheelers, Motor-Cars, Motor-Cycles, their dairy farms, their poultry and their poor children lost their studies.All have become paupers now. They will find hardly anything left when they return to their homes one day. All these or atleast 90 % of these could have been saved and total displacement could have been avoided if only the TNA had the forethought to advise the LTTE to release the people from their grip, to go anywhere they liked. Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) Veerasingham Anandasangaree has called upon the Sri Lankan Government to stop military action and take stock of the situation before proceeding further. He has stated that the Vanni civilians are in great distress and remedial action should be taken.
The press release issued by the TULF is as follows:
It is distressing to note that Vanni is starving due to acute shortage of food and the patients are suffering due to lack of essential drugs, the only available drugs being Panadol and Vitamin-C Immediate action should be taken to air drop dry ration and essential drugs followed by immediate shipment of these items. The leader of the Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) V. Anandasangaree has urged Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa to release the doctors who worked within the No Fire Zone (NFZ) at the height of battle.
In an open letter to President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the TULF leader said the three doctors, Dr. T. Sathiyamoorthy, Dr. T. Varatharajan and Dr. V. Shanmugarajah, the Regional Directors of Health Services of Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu and a Medical Superintendent of Mullaitivu, respectively, had been working in Wanni for a long time. (more…)

Colombo, 15 May, (Asiantribune.com): In an open letter to Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the TULF President V. Anandasangaree, has lamented over the worsening humanitarian crisis in the no-fire zone located in the Mullaitivu district.
In his letter, he pointed out that he was shocked and deeply grieved at the happenings in Mullivaikal, where LTTE is holding to ransom more than one hundred thousand people. (more…)

COLOMBO: Tamil United National Front (TULF) leader V. Anandasangaree, in a letter addressed to Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, has suggested that an international agency acceptable to the government be selected to visit Wanni and persuade the LTTE to allow innocent people to go free, with an offer of general amnesty to LTTE cadre who surrender with arms.
